chrisgray 0 #2 January 13, 2008 I believe that it is the same fabric used for hang gliders. I will contact S-Fly and find out for sure.WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
LouDiamond 1 #3 January 13, 2008 QuoteDoes anyone know what type of fabric the S Fly wingsuits are made out of? Depends on how old the suit is. There is a difference in the materials from the first version as seen in the Crosswinds movie made by Loic and Zun and the production model later made by Parasport ( the crossbow)for a very short while. The current Sfly is made from a combination of materials. The body of the suit is made from nylon, although it doesn't feel like it is treated (not ZP) and is of a heavier weight. The suit also uses cordura, spandex and rubber/neoprene in certain areas where needed."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
dploi 0 #4 January 13, 2008 Last I've seen it's a thin sail fabric. The Crossbow was straight up thick paraglider sail material. The last S-Fly I enountered was a more comfortable lightweight version. But still sweaty as hell in the summer.
