alain 0 #1 April 28, 2003 I've heard that the first pro-dytters (back in 98) did not have the economy mode (ie: it turns off 14 hours after the last jump) and could not be turned off... Is that a true statement and can anyone tell me when these features where introduced ? 'just in case I find a good deal on a used one

USPA 0 #3 April 29, 2003 I don't know exactly when they changed the pro-dytter, but larsen and brusgard, could tell you this (email them, their customer service is the best I've ever seen in this world) But the first always stayed on, and couldn't be turned off (I had one). Not a big problem, unless you drive over hills etc. on your drive to the DZ. Come to think of it, I'm already at my 3th pro-dytter. 1st was stolen but I was insured But L&B replaced it free of charge, when I asked if it could be repaired... The trouble with skydiving; If you stink at it and continue to jump, you'll die. If you're good at it and continue to jump, you'll see a lot of friends die...
