Anyone used a Canon EOS 66 before?

Recommended Posts

Howdy all,

I am keen to purchase an SLR camera and came across a Canon EOS 66 that was selling for quite cheap. For now I'll stick with film...
I checked out the EOS 66 and it takes about 1 fps, even on sport mode.

A couple of questions:

Anyone used it before? If so, how is it?

It's got a 35mm-80mm lens on it as standard, I read here that everyone is using a 24-28mm lens. Should that be ok to use the 35-80mm lens?

You can order a remote switch for it and I wonder if you can stick it in your mouth to press it?

Anyone heard of a wireless remote?? I have an old Canon EOS 1000F and there are not ports to plug in a remote switch, but the guy at the shop told me that he can get a wireless switch. Would that work during freefall???

And finally, I just got a Kenko wideangle lens, it is really awesome but it sticks out a fair bit, would that be a problem?

Thanks, you guys are the best! :)
