Linux video capture?

Recommended Posts

I don't do it. but i've been researching it. check: http://linuxmediaarts.com/ i hear once you get the firewire bit troubleshot, it's easy and in typical linux fashion - sickeningly fast and stable. there are some nice pages out there that list compatibility of the various 1394 I/O cards, with bugs and work-arounds listed, but i misplaced the site. I think if you stick with the big dogs (pinnacle, matrox, and the Linux specific LMA) you're set.
Like i said, i don't do it. but i hope to within the next few months.
good luck
