McDuck 0 #10 July 29, 2007 Open Class finished up today, and it was a close race between The Golden Knights Black Team and Arizona Airspeed, but Airspeed pulled out all the stops on their last jump and won it by one point. The Knights took second and Mass Defiance took third. Intermediate was won by Carolina Fire, second place was the Fast Fockers, and third place was Flicking the Bean. The rookie class was won by a local team, Mom, with assistance from Keka, who is a blast to hang around. Second place in rookie was taken by Um Chica, a freefly team that kicked ass in belly (Yay Whitney!), and third place was another local (to Raeford) team, the Prop Tarts. It was a great meet and it was wonderful seeing everyone there. I got my first chance to see Airspeed performing in person, and I have to say that I'm an even bigger fan than before. The canopy flocking is so incredibly cool to watch, and they are all class acts. Anyway, Tim and Tony did a great job, as did all the staff and competitors. Hopefully we'll see all of you and more at next year's event!Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school.
