  1. Totally possible. my bf has video of a hybrid with a hanger and a hd flier on top of the hybrid at the same time. :)
  2. Woohoo! Im excited! We are driving down Fri afternoon, so we will be around for the Sat and Sun festivities. Cant wait to jump with you guys
  3. Just get contacts. You may not want to always use sunglasses. I just have them in all day and dont have to think about them.
  4. I wish I had the $ to travel there before making any decisions, but unfortunately I do not. My sister did teach for a few weeks in Shanghai, and she LOVED it. I will consider any place in mainland China, but what Im really looking for is suggestions for reputable programs who I can trust will hold true to the employment contract. This is for some crazy reason the ONLY thing that my family has supported me on (besides going to college). They think skydiving is insane, but moving to the other side of the world? Go for it! hahaha.
  5. Thanks to both of you. Any contacts would be greatly appreciated
  6. I am seriously considering this as an option for the 2008 school year, but before I do anything, I would like to hear others' stories and suggestions. Have you ever done this? If so, what was your experience like? Did you do it through a program? Where did you do it? So far I have looked at Guangzhou (where my family originated) and Shenzhen, but I am not opposed to looking anywhere else. I want to go to China because I have roots there (I'm half Chinese) and I would love the experience of teaching, living on the other side of the world and challenging myself with learning mandarin. Thanks for your anticipated suggestions/comments!
  7. Oh Man! I wish I could make it!
  8. This is gonna be a FUN boogie! I can't wait! :)
  9. Sue Sweetman will be organizing. If you are interested in joining us, please email me at [email protected] with your experience level and what slot you feel comfortable flying in.
  10. A whole bunch of us from Cross Keys are coming to Summerfest! woohoo so excited :)
  11. Ok! thanks for all the good advice and well wishes - The interview went well... When I left the office I stopped in the bathroom to put on my suit, where the CEO caught me! ouch. I got to the interview 10 min early, but the woman interviewing me was 30 min late how rude. I rounded up to the nearest 10k when she asked how much I make, so basically I lied. I hope she doesnt ask my boss how much Im currently making if I get the job. Otherwise, there go my chances. The woman was crazy about me - I even overheard her say to someone outside of the office when she left me for a minute saying "She's the one!".
  12. I agree with this - I will probably ask it. Its really important to me to enjoy where I work. I used to love it here, but then all the people I enjoyed working with moved on to new jobs or moved away. And boredom leads to mroe dz.com or wishing I were doing something else, like skydiving. I want to enjoy all of my life, not just everything outside of 9-5. The interview is at 2, I am leaving here in an hour. At this point if I havent figured it out, I will just wing it during the interview. I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for all the helpful replies
  13. Well the interview is for 2pm this afternoon and Im at my workdesk right now... so that wont work. Plus I have used all my personal days for the whole year already (thanks skydiving!) Also, I've heard saying that you are a perfectionist is not the right thing to do on an interivew, since everyone hears the same thing and it comes off sounding like bs.
  14. Ive done this plenty of times, but every time I find myself questioning if I should have done something differently. -How to get away from the office for the interview without being sneaky? Tell them now that I have to take an extended lunch or apologize after I am late coming back? -How to change my clothes into a suit before the interview without anyone at the office noticing Im particularly dressed up today? -What the hell is my greatest weakness? I really want a new job. Ive been bored here forever. Any advice is greatly appreciated, including any ideas for questions I should ask them on the interview.
  15. Congratulations Rod! It was so much fun to jump with you, and you did such a great job!
