katecooper 0 #1 March 11, 2004 <> BIG WAY CAMP, Perris, CA 13-16 May, 2004 Come join Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld, Kate Cooper and Tony Domenico as they lead you through a four day camp structured to enhance and improve on big way skills. You will learn and apply the techniques of diving, floating and base work in this 4 day 20 jump camp. You will receive training on exits techniques from both right and left trail aircraft, tracking tips, canopy control in large groups, and just about anything else you might have questions on when it comes to 100+ formations. The proven model that the organizers use allows smaller formations, 20 - 40 ways, to duplicate all the jobs, visuals, and responsibilities of a 100+ way formation. This is a “no fault” approach to teaching where you are encouraged to push your limits while learning. Any person hoping to hold a world record in large formation skydiving, who would like to be on their first 100 way, or who already has experience but wants to brush up on their skills should attend this camp. Quite a few camp participants are repeat attendees, as they find new ways to challenge themselves and learn each time they join the camp. This camp will also be used as a try out for the Jump for the Cause Women’s World Record being planned for ’05 as well as other large formation events to be held. Your leaders include Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld , General manager of Skydive Perris, founder of Airspeed and organizer of the GO FAST 300 way World Record. Joining Dan are Kate Cooper and Tony Domenico, who have both have been involved with most World Record large formation skydives. This includes organizing the last two Women's World Records and being implemental on the current word record of 357 set in Thailand during World Team ‘04 as well as the GO FAST 300 way. References from past attendees are available upon request. Dates: 8:00 am May 13th through 6:00 pm May 16th. Please be fully waivered and ready to jump by starting time. This year, as an added bonus there will be an optional tunnel block available the day before the camp, May 12th. This block is priced at $135 for 10 minutes of coached tunnel time and will reinforce many skills that will be emphasized during the camp. Tunnel time will also be available in the evenings of the camp by prior reservation, either coached or not, Location: Perris Valley Skydiving. www.skydiveperris.com has information about local camping, bunkhouses, and nearby hotels. Cost: $500 for 20 jumps, 16 from normal altitude, 4 from 16,000 feet with oxygen, many of which will be formation loads. $50 will be a non refundable deposit. $135 for 10 minutes coached tunnel time on 12 May (prior to camp). $250 deposit made out to Tony Domenico and mailed to the address below with completed registration form (attached) is required to reserve your slot (camp is limited to 80 participants), with the balance due prior to 8:00 am on the 13th. If you wish to attend the coached tunnel session on the 12th please send an additional $50 deposit and clearly state that you are attending the tunnel training seminar on the 12th. Credit cards can be accepted, but the above price references a cash discount of 5%. Minimum experience required: 250 jumps, 50 jumps in the last 12 months, have been on at least a 16 way and have the ability to close 12th or later on a consistent basis.
