freeflyfree 0 #1 August 15, 2001 Where could I find info on this canopy, or if you guys can write some comments. It was offered to my friend in Bolivia, he has 50 jumps, and he might be loading it 1.2:1... so is a good canopy for a begginer? Thanks and Blue SkiesFelipe
SkymonkeyONE 3 #2 August 15, 2001 If it is an older BT-40 or BT-50, then no, it is not a good beginner parachute. Blue tracks were one of the first tapered, or eliptical, zero-p mains. They were not very popular in the US due to limited import and something about TSO requirements, but the one that I flew, a BT-40 was a sweet main. Blue Tracks were made by Parachutes De France and are now modified a bit and called Pro Series (unless I am terribly mistaken). Check out the PDF website.Chuck
riggerrob 598 #4 August 17, 2001 Clarification - Parachutes de France holds TSO s on most of their current production items. They stopped selling on the North American market because they do not want to have anything to do with low down !@#$%^&* scum-sucking, bottom feeding California lawyers.
