quiner 0 #1 December 31, 2012 Does anyone else feel that the utility and integrity of the classified section has been Negatively Upgraded? Posting from listers whose only other input was over 10 years ago. WE USED TO GET WARNINGS.WHEN PEOPLE MADE "NEW" ID'S TO SELL.. Picture icons indicating nonexistent pictures. Multiple listing the same goods /services, often commercial. No longer any indication of listings haven been previously viewed (use to change color) And while we're at it... What's with all the ads... Added to user's video sharing... Dropzone use to be a treasure trove of advice and experience, often hard learned, still applicable if not current... Now missing if the new advertising can't be added. What's up? Just a new revenue stream?
likestojump 3 #2 March 9, 2013 The new ad format is a step back. It was never tested fully, and pushed to production way ahead of the time it should have. There are many bugs.
Meso 38 #3 March 10, 2013 We've been continuing to work to address any issues users may have found in the new classifieds layout - we put out a call when we upgraded for users to let us know if there was something that needs to be addressed, so it's always been a case of working with the users to get it up to scratch. Not much has changed though... I will re-implement the warning system alerting users to newly registered sellers. I wasn't aware that this functionality had changed since the upgrade. While we could add placeholder images to the listings without ads, there isn't really any reason to. It would just increase load time without serving any real purpose. Quote"Multiple listing the same goods /services" There are not supposed to be any duplicate listings. When there are - they should be reported to us so that we can remove one of the duplicates. QuoteNo longer any indication of listings haven been previously viewed Putting that functionality back may be possible. Shall look into it. The ads added to the video sharing isn't our doing at all. The ads you see on videos are coming straight from youtube. We allow users to share their videos straight from youtube, we have no control over what ads youtube is putting on those videos that are being shared.
