skytash 0 #1 May 28, 2008 I got this from idea-a-day.com and wondered what people thought of this: Quote Add a search function to the 'post new thread' function on internet forums, using the subject as key words. If the search function finds a very similar post, it warns the user, helping them not repost the same old debates. I'm guessing it's quite server intensive so would get a thumbs down from HH, it would also put the repost police out of business so may not be popular with the general public either! tashDon't ever save anything for a special occasion. BillyVance 34 #2 May 29, 2008 Well, going by that idea, I think people would get annoyed by the warnings for trying to post a thread with a word or two that has been used many times, but the story is original. Like say... "Asshole!" in the thread title, for example.
