weegegirl 2 #1 April 8, 2004 Just a suggestion... one of the things I like to know when reading a post, is what discipline of choice the poster has. Do they freefly, flatfly, crew, what? Just tells me a bit more of who I'm talking to so I know their experience levels, etc. Any thoughts? btw... you guys rock. still the greatest site in the world! TomAiello 25 #2 April 8, 2004 I definitely agree. I just thought I'd say so again here. Obviously, that's not news to Sangiro or other folks with access to the Team Room, since I keep harping on it so much I wonder if HH is going to ban me from that forum. Edit to add: It would be particularly useful in the BASE forum, as we've got people thinking "if he only has 130 skydives, why's he giving advice on BASE?" when a posters profile reads "jumps: 130" but he's really referring to BASE jumps.-- Tom Aiello [email protected] SnakeRiverBASE.com
skr 1 #3 April 8, 2004 >what discipline of choice the poster has. That makes one kind of sense, base is not crw, but ... (there's always a "but" isn't there :-) :-) how about adding a "none of the above" or maybe an "other" for people who are doing "other". Having a closed list sort of implies that the territory has been staked out. Then when some new activity or viewpoint enters consensus reality you could just add it to the list. But leave the "other" for people who are still doing "other". Skr
Antithesis 0 #4 April 9, 2004 What about all of those people who put their "interests" in the diciplines of choice? Those who actually have no experience in, say, Base or camera flying. That seems like a common mistake to me. I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky
