We have students wear an inflatable floatation device in a pouch that is belted around the waist. If you want the brand name, I'll check this weekend.

I know of no dz near water that actually uses them. I wonder how they get around that? Waiver?

Stearns Inflata-Belt is the brand that I've seen. I have one that I bought for beach jumps ... it's quite comfortable and unobtrusive.

My home DZ is adjacent to the Ohio River. As a student, we use the same type of flotation device that JHeadley commented on using.
