altichick 0 #1 October 27, 2004 Hi, Can anyone tell me if the items on the proficiency card for the USPA coach course (teaching/asisting first jump courses) need to be comleted at a USPA DZ or could they be done (for example) in the UK prior to attending a USPA course? tombuch 0 #2 October 27, 2004 The proficiency card can be completed at any drop zone, but must be under the direct supervision of a USPA rated instructor. The elements you teach must be done according to the USPA outline. A USPA instructor in the UK will be able to guide you in that direction, and should be able to arrange an opportunity to teach part of a BPA program that also qualifies under the USPA BSR's and ISP.Tom Buchanan Instructor Emeritus Comm Pilot MSEL,G Author: JUMP! Shark 0 #3 October 27, 2004 Hi Sally, Tom summarized it nicely. While you had the time we could have gone through your card while you were at El Snore. Heck, I there were several FJCs that you could have sat in and assist. Harold did. Anywho, see you next time yer in SoCal. Shark
altichick 0 #4 October 28, 2004 I know I should have used my time a bit more 'productively' whilst I was out there ... but I was having too much fun jumping and enjoying the sun! Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!
