ripcordbk 0 #1 March 19, 2012 You know how some days you can be on the ground, and hear the sound of skydivers falling through the air? Well, the next time your kids are at the DZ, and the wind is right, tell them to listen carefully when you exit the plane at 12,500. A couple of seconds after you exit the plane, yell something to them like, HI TOM or JEANNIE LOOK AT TOM, or whatever. When you land, they should be able to tell you what you yelled to them from 2 miles up. My grown kids still remember some of the things I yelled to them. fastphil 0 #2 March 21, 2012 When I first started jumping me and a buddy would yell like that on early morning jumps. We waited for lower altitudes though, just prior to pulling while tracking off. It is very noticeable on the ground when it's quiet. Funny when no one expects it...
Monkeysdaughter 0 #3 March 23, 2012 First I always heard Shawanga! Then in a bit I'd brace for the horror and shock of seeing some naked diver with their parts a-flappin in the wind coming down over me! Ugh! Gotta love it!
