prepheckt 0 #1 December 2, 2002 Hey, If you read my post in Talkback, you know how my brake came off along with the finger loop. Gave it a look, muttered an obscenity...and stuffed it in my jumpsuit. Immediately reached for my rear risers and set my pattern and landed. Could have been a bad situation. Know how to fly and land your canopy with your rear risers. Every jump work on canopy control. Use the rear and front dive loops to find out how your canopy handles. Craig Girard and Aaron the rigger at Eloy were pretty impressed that I knew what to do considering my skill level..I guess that CReW camp helped. According to Aaron, the left toggle where the finger trap connected hadn't been bartacked...do a quick check of your brake lines..it could have been bad had I been flaring.."Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes

skycat 0 #3 December 2, 2002 I think he ment the bartack up by where the brake setting is, he recently had his steering lines replaced.Fly it like you stole it!
