Innovation Thread (Seminar Dec 31, 2007)

Recommended Posts

Greetings Para People,
I would say greetings skydivers but this message is for all para enthusiasts especially paraglider pilots.
An innovation seminar well be held on Dec 31, 2007 at 6:30 pm at Skydive Arizona. The topic will be innovation and the engagement
of paragliding to parachuting.
Many is the sport of skydiving enjoy those cross country flights for their scenic and sustained airtime value. Many others love to grab that extra bit of lift whenever they can. To many skydiving is more about flight than fall, evident by the popularity of wing suits. Many others visited skydiving for a brief test of the waters and wished that tandem flight had far less freefall, those people then ventured off to paragliding where that faced a variety of challenges, timing their desire to get some airtime with the conditions for launching and then opted for a powered paraglider to get control over hindrances to a 'fly when you want' condition related to busy lives.
For all these flocks of people, an option is being introduced which is intended to show manufacturers the level of interest present to encourage a step over the wall of decisions which stop the final level of engagement between parachuting and paragliding.
All are welcome to this discussion of the next steps toward bring this marriage about. This seminar will be held in the conference room following the night jump briefing, so about 6:30 pm. contact me 520-466-3964 for directions if not familiar with the layout. Or, visit www.skydiveaz.com.

Now that the first seminar is complete another will be held tomorrow night the 1st of 08 at the same location and about the same time.

The last minute decision to hold this now got an immediate response. The concept was well received by the two participants and a third online, and other along the way. One in attendance is crew-dog the other an ex-military jumper who's had a few extra gadgets along for the ride. All are looking for future developments in anticipation of more hang-time.

There will be an announcement in about a month for another seminar at the Valentines Boogie here at Skydive Arizona.

Discussion of the developments will be taken to the general topics area at some point. Private messages are welcome. I expect a bulletin board of our own will be setup but for the sake of attracting other enthusiasts well talk it up here for a while.

No information on this concept has yet to be placed a the dahlendesigns site. However, there is material of historical and scientific importance there which you may find interesting and of value.

Stay tuned, dzp
