Nomad 0 #1 June 30, 2007 I'm spending 17 days in NZ this Aug/ Sept and i will have just gotten my A. What is gonna be the safest, best place to solo jump in NZ? Most places I've seen cater to tandem so i'd like to find a fun jump place. I'm planning on hitting the north and south island and doing as much as i can so location is completely open.All that is gold does not glitter, Not all who wander are lost. cjdskydiver 4 #2 July 9, 2007 On the south island, Skydive Abel Tasman is probably your best bet for a place that is accommodating to fun jumpers and has a dependable schedule. It's west of Nelson, in Motueka. I was there back in Jan. http://www.skydive.co.nz/ The Nzone places on the north and south island will do everything they can to discourage you from jumping there, but will charge you mucho $$$ if you really want to. Glenorchy and a place near Franz Josef & Fox glaciers are other places to check out on the south island. Oh, Dunedin too. North island - Auckland area.
