napaguy99 0 #2 February 17, 2004 Could you fill me in on what the Search 5 is? If it sounds cool, maybe I'll be there. "Let the misinterpretation and attacks begin."
NeedToJump 0 #3 February 17, 2004 I have attended a previous search and it was excellent! You can expect top quality coaching, tunnel time, beer, meet cool people, etc. It's totally worth it!Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Spike 0 #5 February 17, 2004 I went on the Search 2003. Excellent value for money, excellent opportunity to meet and jump with some really skilled flyers. The Search covers a wide range of flying skills from packing to landing and a lot of the stuff in between. They also had Dr John DeRosalia give a presentation on sport/skydiving psychology which was pretty enlightening as well as entertaining. Scott Miller was there and spent some time working on canopy coaching. You also get to meet skydivers from all over the world. Very well worth both the cash and the effort. You may feel that the course has redundancy because it covers things you already know. In my own case I would have said packing. But in actuality I learned a huge amount of things that I just didn't know. Not only was I shown different ways to do things, the reasoning behind it was explained. If you can possibly stump up the cash, then go for it. An excellent experience.
fatmarl 0 #6 February 26, 2004 I've just returned to the UK after doing the 1st. Freefly Search. All I can say is that it is worth every single penny. The weather wasn't brilliant but when we were rained off time was filled in with good stuff like a tour of Performance Designs and packing lessons if required. I managed to get all of my jumps in by doing 8 on the final day. And you do meet some really cool people (thank you so much Juliana and Fabian, and also Dr. John). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn fast.
