themitchyone 0 #51 April 9, 2004 When I was training for AFF1, my instructor said she had never had a cutaway, and she had been jumping for 11 years. The range you hear of first cutaway is from AFF1 up to thousands of jumps. I suppose that's how that average of 1 in 800 jumps (or whatever the exact stat is) comes in. But the way I see it, the stats aren't relevant to each individual jump. You have to be ready every time, but I too hope I'll be on the high end of the average."If the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girl's sports such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing." - Homer Simpson
