kosanke 0 #1 March 8, 2004 I have looked in previous threads and haven't found much on this? With an ellipitical, is it advisable on openings to look up and fly the rear risers as the canopy leaves the bag so as to cut down on the degree of off heading openings? No! You can mal a small elliptical doing that. Most people fly the openings by body-steering the canopy, but some manufacturers don't recommend doing even that. It is a good idea to have your hands on the rear risers during opening so you can turn rapidly if someone ends up in front of you though.
