Scoop 0 #1 November 9, 2005 I seen the other thread with the expired cypres. Im aware its never clever to buy online without seeing, but I am prepared to take a gamble. Ive seen this item listed.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7194787150&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT&rd=1 It seems to have a good life time on it. Its recently been serviced (if a bit late) Ive asked to see an image of the bits n pieces to confirm it has been serviced etc. Who knows what itll go for! is there anything else I can ask to see. Ive also asked for the serial number so I can contact the manufacturer. Thanks! If anyone got any tips or advice post away or PM me. Cheers again! mr2mk1g 10 #2 November 9, 2005 I wouldn't have concerns bidding on it as is. You could always check the serial number against the stolen/train wreck databases... but assuming it's just come back from Airtec it ought not be on one of them. If you go to Airtec direct I'm sure they can confirm it's life record, although I'm also sure they'll soon get sick of those kind of enquiries if everyone was doing it. Remember service dates run from the unit's birthday as opposed to date of last service. So this is due it's 8 year service next august. (I think that's right - maybe check up on here ). Battery dates however run from date of install so they'd still be good to Oct 07.

thepollster 0 #4 November 9, 2005 You could always buy this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7195113255&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX If you figure about $400 for the 4 and 8 year services and battery, that isn't a bad deal for a cypres with 3 years left. Then again, if the bidding goes above $200 it won't be a deal, and since it is on ebay, it probably will go higher than that.

If its already past the 8th year, won't you only have to do one service on it? surely they wouldn't have you do two services in a row.. how does that work? If it's time for the 8 year, the 4 year isn't needed.
