co-popsdiver 0 #1 March 27, 2007 I have had a C6-C7 rupture for the past year and learned to deal with the pain. I admit the Vicodin probably help also. I enrolled in an F.D.A. study of a new implant to replace the disc in between the C6-C7 vertebra. You either wake up with the implant or fusion, 2/3 get the implant and 1/3 get the fusion. I scared the crap out these guys when I described a couple of my past Sabre openings and then told them I still play 1st division soccer. They told me I shouldn't be heading the ball, but I forget why???. Now they are afraid of the implant breaking. I have read most of the threads of people jumping after the fusion surgery, but is there anyone out there with any of these implants. Chances are you are from outside the US of A since the FDA is so damn slow and most of these devices have been used for the last 3 years in Europe.---------------------------------- Am I still in this world? Yes, Grandfather. I was afraid of that.
