Am I too old to jump?

Recommended Posts

You are not too old to start skydiving. I started at 53 years old and that was 12 years ago.
I am now 65 with many state, national and world record skydives to my credit.
Even at 65, I have been the video guy for 4 and 8 ways teams that compete on the National level.
If you want to get good at the sport, you must stay current. Skydiving becomes a lifestyle.
Good health is very important as is flexability.
Go for it and take each level in stride.
If you want it bad enough, it will happen.
You are only as good as you think you are.

No not too old, this last May I was grounded over a
reserve "incident" , but I went on and did what was asked to continue with training. I even went and did two more graduated free fall jumps, off radio, which is
small potatoes,in amongst all these much more, dedicated & "seasoned" sky divers. Right now the only things holding me back from more sky diving is
that I'm between positions and whether or not I should raid my R.S.P. to complete my training.
Friend, (if I may) you,as we all have ,this need now for vertical speed , so feed the need!Mike

I did my first tandem on my 50th birthday last May.

Am I too old to begin an extreme sport like skydiving?

I turned 50 a few years back. Celebrated by making 50 jumps on the day. Not sure what I should plan for my 75th birthday - but that's far enough in the future not to have to worry for a while yet.

Regardless, it was a nice way to celebrate a milestone birthday - and the 50th jump of the day came all too quickly.

Blue Skies,

fergs
