I'm VERY new to skydiving and wonder if anyone could give a reason for what happened there? What was the mal on the main? Zoter 0 #2 December 16, 2005 The incident has been discussed and debated in depth in this thread..... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1439200 In a nutshell one of the main suspension lines snagged on one of the main tray flaps.... He cut away and because the main was still snagged (attached via the snagged suspension line)experienced significant problems when deploying his reserve.......This was the result of a design fault in this particular system ( I believe) He survived with fracture injuries as far as I remember The thread has much more in depth info on the malfunction Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
