Altimeter App for Samsung Galaxy watch

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

After having developed the Altimeter App for Garmin watches, I started the development on Samsung Galaxy watches.

The functionalities will be the same (as the Fenix: AAD near fire detection, g, speed, vario, direction and distance to dz...), but the Android platform offers some new possibilities like hearing the vario in the earpod, greater vario and acceleration detection...

So, my question: do you have any idea for a great functionality?

(The pricing strategy will be the same as before, a free version which is adapted for 99% of the skydivers, and a 10-15$ for the one who needs some very specific functionalities.)

be safe,

jerome

What are the differences between your two products?

The cheapest version is far more user friendly. You just need to select between skydiving, paragliding or wingsuit and the settings are made automatically.

With the expensive version you set for example the detection limit of the vario, set the height of the gate for measuring swoop distance.

frankly, the cheapest is better for skydivers, but if you need specific settings like for PG then the expensive version would make sense.
hope it helps

Hi, I bought your app but haven't used it yet. It would be nice if you add an option to specify colors based on altitude. For example, I'd like to have green for above 1500m, orange for between 1000 and 1500 and red below 1000 meters. Additionally, maybe you can use vibration to vibrate on opening altitude?

Do you have plans to create a companion APP to analyse data from GPS on phone? Or export to paralog format?

Btw. your app measures TAS or SAS?

Good idea for the color, i will check the readability in the sun.

the watch has several alarms and vibrations. All alarms come with an orange background and black text, this to maximize contrast.

companion app is in the list for future version.

i would recommend to buy a silicon watch protection to avoid involontary exit since I cannot disable the exit button with Android, and also to protect the watch.

I like the swoop measurememt and the wingsuit glide bip bip.

Be safe,

jerome
