timrf79 0 #2 October 12, 2015 I did my first (tandem) jump this past Friday and recorded the experience with my Fenix3: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/923095917 Some things to consider: Not sure if you can set-up a profile to measure altitude over ground, mine was showing over sea level (which would be an issue) The refresh rate seemed fine, but I wonder how much more accuracy you need? stayhigh 2 #3 October 12, 2015 Does it refresh at least once every second? If it refreshes every second, then you should be able to see the change of altitude every second while climbing up to the altitude.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
timrf79 0 #4 October 13, 2015 I think it does more than 1 second. However, ask me again after I start ground school and maybe get another jump or two in with it. The tactix has a jumpmaster mode: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/on-the-trail/wrist-worn/tactix-/prod139389.html Some links I found on the fenix: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f296/garmin-fenix-ongoing-review-several-parts-746366-31.html https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?35922-Fenix-Altimeter
