kd5xb 1 #1 June 25, 2011 Earl Imes -- skydiver, jump pilot, foster parent, overall good guy -- passed away just about a month ago now. Years ago, he let me borrow his PC to jump a few times. He flew the jump plane when he wasn't jumping. I knew him in the late '70's, and he was active at Mount Olive, North Carolina, and Big Daddy's, just outside Goldsboro, North Carolina. The world -- not just the skydiving world, but the WHOLE WORLD -- is poorer for his passing. I hadn't seen him in thirty years, and I had in mind to call him, or write him a letter when I found his obituary on line. Lesson learned -- now I'm actively looking for other old friends. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bradenton/obituary.aspx?n=albert-earl-imes&pid=151613626&fhid=8476I'm a jumper. Even though I don't always have money for jumps, and may not ever own a rig again, I'll always be a jumper.

wartload 0 #3 June 26, 2011 What a pity that he's gone. Early was a really great guy. My condolences go out to his wife, Barbara, and to Mike, Amber, and others who called him "Dad".
