F-150? Our customers used F-250, F-350, F-450, + etc. No half ton truck of any brand would carry their loads and survive. Last I checked I was responding to the quality of the truck, not the quantity.
jakee 1,279 #28 April 25, 2007 Sorry, bad writing on my part. What I meant was that the portion of the Ford truck market that actually needs the haulage capacity, durability etc is (as far as I know) quite small compared to the huge numbers of them that are sold to average Joes that just use them for normal driving. I've only driven an F-150 and F-250, and only a couple of times, but it was enough to know that I hated the way they drove for 'normal' use. That's what I meant by saying I didn't know why they were so popular.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Though our customers loved the toughness of the Fords, they almost all agreed that the on-road handling was the worst of the bunch. Of the 10% that didn't choose Fords, they almost all chose Chevy/GMC and those trucks were for sales people, supervisors, etc. that drove very little off-road so they wanted the best ride/handling they could get.
