flyhi 24 #1 September 17, 2002 The PIA will hold their symposium in Jacksonville from the 26th to the 31st of January 2003. JAX is in Northern Florida located about 120 miles from Deland and about 55 from Skydive Palatka. Was just wondering if anyone planned to attend and if they had any interest in doing some jumps while here. Come in early, stay late, play hookey some day in the middle? I live about 20 miles (3 Starbucks) from the hotel and would be willing to provide transportation to either site. Deland (Otter and Skyvan) is good anytime and Palatka (KingAir) would work Friday through Sunday. Were we to journey to Deland, we might meet Skymama, PLFXpert, Billy Z, and others. Who else from here is planning on coming to PIA or the USPA BOD meeting? Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them? Jumperpaula 0 #5 September 17, 2002 I am planning on going to the PIA. I haven't finalized those plans yet, but it's a pretty sure thing. I wasn't really thinking of it as a skydiving trip though, didn't plan on taking my rig.
