mrbiceps 0 #2 August 19, 2010 ZPX Fabric Option NOW AVAILABLE! ZPX is a new step in the evolution of Zero Porosity fabrics. It's lighter, thinner, stronger, and easier to pack. This new honeycomb hexagon weave design packs 15% smaller than traditional ZP fabrics.
brettski74 0 #3 August 19, 2010 A new fabric currently offered as an option by Aerodyne on their canopies. According to their information, it is stronger, thinner, lighter than regular fabric. It also has some self-healing properties when it comes to minor punctures - you can kinda pull out the puncture and make it air-tight again. I've tried it on a test swatch of the material. It's been discussed before on here, such as here. You can also do a search for zpx to find more discussion about it, or check out the aerodyne website. GLIDEANGLE 1 #4 August 19, 2010 In addition to packing significantly smaller (~20% smaller in my experience), the surface is not nearly as slippery when new as conventional ZP fabric. It was a joy to pack. The choices we make have consequences, for us & for others!
stayhigh 2 #5 August 19, 2010 but they DO NOT pack whole one size smaller. it is more like in between the two sizes. you can try to overstuff with PD Pulse but with ZPX pilot you'll have problem overstuffing the d-bagBernie Sanders for President 2016

I have a ZPX 168 that packs exactly the same as a regular ZP 150 if not a bit smaller.
