Evelyn 0 #1 June 23, 2004 Okay, I'm not exactly a newcomer, but I figured this was the best place to post this. I can't figure out how to choose a portion of someone elses post to reply to it. Can you please tell me how to do this. Thanks. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Can you please tell me how to do this. Thanks. Evelyn, As you can see from above, there is really nothing to it. You simply choose "Quote" rather than "Reply" when you are adding to a thread. This will put the original quote up above. If you want to chop something out, just take out what you want between the Reply and the /Reply statements - "The helicopter approaches closer than any other to fulfillment of mankind's ancient dreams of a magic carpet" - Igor Sikorsky

SkiD_PL8 0 #4 June 23, 2004 Next to the reply link on messages there is a link that says quote. Click that and it will give you tags like [.quote.] blablabla blablabla [./quote.] without the spaces that would do what you want and anything you don't want quoted just remove. Greenie in training. slotperfect 7 #6 June 23, 2004 Another way is: -highlight only the text you want to quote in your reply -right click on it and copy it onto the clipboard -left click on "reply" -below the reply window, left click on the button that says "quote" -the text "***" will now appear in the reply window -the cursor should now immediately follow that text -right click and paste the previously copied text -now left click on the quote button at the bottom again, which should now appear as "" -it will place that same text after your copied text -then jump down a couple of spaces and reply away!Arrive Safely John
