kenneth21441 0 #1 March 26, 2010 I saw a recent you tube video with CDS being safety tied from anchor cable to D-bag with one turn single 80 pound. The question I must ask is this required for C-130 CDS drops? and what is the real purpose of this tie? This is not a normal skydiving question but a regular Army / Air Force Rigging question. Another link showing the tie being applied: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4VO_E-4P_s&feature=channel Thanks, Ken..Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith

LouDiamond 1 #4 March 26, 2010 Do you have a time mark on what you are referring to? All I am seeing is where they are dummy cording the clevices and clevice pins. The last part of the video shows the pin dummy corded with a piece of gutted 550 cord. Are you talking about the piece of 80lb at the 1:36-1:40 mark?"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
