ok ready for the big lie? Place a bar magnet on a piece of stryofoam, place it in a plastic bucket of water. It will line up with the earth's magnetic poles.
Now the surprise, the red(north pole) points north.
Opposites attract right, so the north pole is actually magnetically south. The world is upside down!

also Worchestershire sauce is made from anchovies.

As an interesting side note. Try the experiment in a moving airplane north and south of the equator. Then try the experiment north and south of the equator on the ground in a moving car.

Trying the experiment in an airplane or car would be pointless... as the bowl shape / imperfections and water movement determine the flow!

You couldnt even easily make sure the bowl was level enough accurately if you're moving it manually
