base283 0 #1 August 26, 2009 I was helping a friend today and did a reline on a Velocity. Was having probs. Those dang short tails to fingertrap. Get the fid inserted and then screw the tail in on 1st go or take a fingertrap wire and work it up from the bottom while trying to not exit the line on the way up. So I came up with this: The "FloppyEyedFid"! Screw it once, pass it through once, Trapped! Pass it again and again with no screwing, only trapping involved. Cypres pullup cord, cut to 8" (20cm) doubled over and ends melted together to get a decent hold in the screwing on of the fid. What do you think? Take care, space
