white_falcon 0 #1 January 27, 2005 Make a link to a web site SHOW a different name? So that instead of http://asjgoatopjgortuoqt it is "LINK" and can you do this anywhere, or just in supported situations? thanks, scott
OrangeJumper 0 #2 January 27, 2005 You can make links like that on a Microsoft Word doc. If you are using any windows based software, you can type whatever word you are trying to use, then right click on the word and you should see a hyperlink option. Click on hyperlink at you can type any address you want. Let me know if that helps. Don't mean to be so vague. The Original Cabana Boy!

flyangel2 2 #4 January 27, 2005 See here. BTW, always do a Preview post before you hit Post and check to see if your clicky is working. Edit to add: I thought you were asking how to do it here, but in reading the replies, I'm thinking I was wrong.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. flyingferret 0 #8 January 27, 2005 That is because CrazyIvan's way requires that the force be with you. Actually his is the right/real way using HTML, which stands for Hypertext Markup Language. Most forums don't use pure HTML anymore, 1. for user convenience and 2. for possible security issues via malicious inserted code. Therefore, most forum systems have their own markup language with abbreviated syntax.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
