MarkTL 0 #1 February 23, 2009 I want to use a camera later on and was wondering if you can attach camera to mamba helmet?Live life with no regrets
pilotdave 0 #2 February 23, 2009 When you're ready to jump a camera, get a helmet designed for it. You can attach a camera to anything if you really want to, but a mamba will not give the support you'll need and the safety you'll want. Don't worry about cameras yet. I know you probably want to save money, but skydiving is going to take every cent you make for the rest of your skydiving career, so there's no reason to worry about having to buy another helmet a long time from now. You're going to buy a lot of stuff, and soon enough you'll be like me and have a gear bag full of skydiving stuff you barely ever use. I have enough gear I don't use to fully equip another skydiver... if he was my size and shape. Dave

CazmoDee 3 #4 February 23, 2009 Just to answer your question, not give advice, two weeks ago I saw a Mamba at Zhills with a Cookie Liquid Flatlock mounted on top. The owner said it required some grinding to make the adapter fit perfectly, but the end result looked very clean. He also had a Cameye installed in back. The lens would still flip up without a camera mounted. Jumping a camera would require goggles.I'm behind the bar at Sloppy Joe's....See ya in the Keys! humbled1 0 #5 February 24, 2009 As the others stated, technicaly you can attach a camera to ANY helmet. But it would be VERY unsafe on a Mamba. Much better off with a real camera helmet that has the proper safety features you (we) need. Actually never jumped with a camera but this one is a no brainer imo."Tell ya the truth, I don't think this is a brains kind of operation."
