...broke an ankle & tore ligaments a number of years ago playing basketball.
... wanted to go skiing, so after 3 weeks took a hatchet and tried to chop off the cast.
... 10 stitches.
... doctor dropped me as a patient, said he should have amputated (from the neck up).
... more or less agreed with him.

... so three weeks... sorta.
