Well If these storms are named alphabetically, what happened to the letters l, m, n, o, p and q ??? Sure there may have been a tropical depression or a 'named storm' after Katrina, which stayed away from landfall.. but were there six of them......?? Oh Yes..!!! there was Ophelia on the eastern seaboard, now that I'm thinking about it...but what about the others??? jmy.......... o[:-)

prepheckt 0 #4 September 21, 2005 go here. In fact, we're running out of letters for this season. If the names go past z, the NHC will start using Greek letters. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/09/19/storm.names/index.html"Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes
BillyVance 34 #5 September 21, 2005 Some letters are not even used. Q, X, Y, and Z and one more letter, I think it's I, but I'm not sure without checking the NOAA website. So, only 21 names are listed every year and if we go over 21 storms, then the Greek letters are used beginning with Alpha."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
