This ever happened to anyone?

I'm running on the West Side Highway path a few hours ago. The West Side Highway path passes Manhattan Heliport. There's a helicopter lifting off, blowing wind every which way.

I smell jet fuel. I immediately reach up to my forehead to put my goggles on and give a tug to my helmet.

Of course, I'm not wearing either goggles or a helmet. I'm wearing shorts, a t-shirt, sneakers, and an iPod.

Was very odd. I've only been in skydiving less than a year, but how weird that it was so auto-reflexive!

Or am I totally normal?

I mean, at least, in that regard.
