skydemon2 0 #1 September 1, 2006 Are these being accepted as log books now at DZ's? I have 500 logged but have not logged in a while just wondering if any uses just a pro track as a log book and is it accepted when you go somewhere? I have not jumped somewhere Im not known in a while.Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone! I like to start my day off with a little Ray of Soulshine™!! NWFlyer 2 #2 September 1, 2006 Where's the response for "depends?" As an example (though I've never seen this at any other DZ) at Skydive Oregon last weekend, if you had a D License (500 jumps, so the "new" D) you didn't have to show a logbook but under 500, you did. I've been to lots of DZ that don't ask for a logbook at all, others that require it."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
Randy_H 0 #3 September 1, 2006 I don't know if they would accept that at my home DZ... besides, wouldn't it be really easy to 'borrow' someones protrack and present it as your own??010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001
skydemon2 0 #4 September 1, 2006 No easier than buying a log book and filling it in. Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone! I like to start my day off with a little Ray of Soulshine™!!
Lindercles 0 #5 September 1, 2006 If filling in a log book isn't any harder than borrowing a pro track, then why haven't you just logged your jumps?

Miami 0 #7 September 3, 2006 Ditto, depends on the dz. My last 2.5k jumps or so have been solely on my protrack/altitrack...most dz's don't really care when they see the ratings on my uspa card, but my last trip to perris I still had to fill out a single page logbook entry for my last jump and have a friend sign it.Miami
tbrown 26 #8 September 3, 2006 The dropzones I jump at (perris, Elsinore) explicitly state in writing they will not accept Protrack, etc. data as a logbook. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
