Advice on Selling Gear

So I pounded in big time on my hangglider and I have a lot of skydiving gear that I need to sell due to my paralysis.

Question: What's the best way to sell my gear on DZ.com, or in general, and ship it to someone where I don't have to worry about getting stiffed on the payment? Ship it cash on delivery via UPS?

Suggestions?

I personally would only send it to a rigger or DZO at a well known DZ if I didn't get my money first.

I advertised here for a good while. A couple yrs. Had people come by the house to try it on. Finally sold it to a kid in Ireland last month. Set up pay pal. I made sure the money cleared before I send it UPS. We both got lucky. Got thru customs no prob. Dz's and riggers usually want a cut. 10-15%. 5 bucks for the pay pal transfer and 300 and change for shipping. I tracked it the whole way. Went thru Gemany on it's way to Ireland for some reason.
