ntrprnr 0 #1 March 2, 2008 Coogan's Shamrock 5k 8:30 pace. I've got some serious ass time to make up, but I can probably drop to a 7:20 pace by late summer. For my first race of the season? I'll take it. Between my Achilles this past fall and my broken rib in January, I was kind of afraid that I couldn't run anymore. Stupid, but then, I never said I had a smart psyche._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." jkm2500 0 #3 March 2, 2008 Glad to hear that you are back in the saddle so to speak. I have also been trying to work through an injury. I hurt my back 9 months ago and I am just finally to the point where I can run hard again. I spent 4 months in PT and the last several trying to nurse myself back to health. It still hurts a lot every now and then, but I think that I might be getting my time back down. Good on you. I am in the 8:30 time frame too. It sux.The primary purpose of the Armed Forces is to prepare for and to prevail in combat should the need arise.
