DougH 270 #1 May 13, 2008 So does any one think I can get away with using my flex spending for designer sunglasses. I do have contacts and light eye color, and my eye doctor was recommending that I get sunglasses. I just don't want to get perscription sunglasses."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
mnealtx 0 #2 May 13, 2008 Doubtful - you could order the sunglasses in zero cylinder, though.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

DougH 270 #6 May 13, 2008 Well it is flex spending, it isn't eye care insurance, it is money taken out of my personal paycheck. It still needs to be approved how ever. I know some one who tried to use flex spending to pay for cosmetic surgery... peregrinerose 0 #7 May 14, 2008 No, technically plano sunglasses are not covered. Unless you have aniridia, albinism, achromatopsia, or one of a host of other eye diseases that make them medically necessary. Prescription sunglasses may be covered. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
mnealtx 0 #8 May 14, 2008 So a doctor's examination verifying that you have an extreme sensitivity to bright light wouldn't suffice? I'm talking to the point of getting bad headaches from light/glare, not just squinting.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
