Buying accessory equipment on line

Recommended Posts

Hi all,
I'm just off student status and am looking to buy goggles and an altimeter on-line. Can anybody recommend a website with a nice selection that is prompt in delivering the goods? I wouldn't mind picking up a helmet and gloves too, but it would seem to me that I'd be better off getting them somewhere in person where I can try them on first, no?
Thanks in advance!

John

In that case Gravity Gear and Square 1 should both do you nicely. Both do web sales as well as having bricks-and-mortar stores, and both are in California. Gravity Gear's owner, Bonnie, posts here regularly.

Definitely try on the helmet before purchase - everyone's head is a little different and different brands suit different folk. If you've got a particularly small or large head it might be worth waiting to try on the goggles as well.

First off... Thank you Bob.

Second... John, if you can come out to Byron we have a selection of goggles and helmets, etc to try on .

We are about an hour and fifteen from San Francisco. We can go over pros and cons and find out what best fits you.

I'm here Wed - Sun 10am - Sunset.

PM me if you want to meet somewhere in the city, we'll be there next tuesday...
