DavidB 0 #3 July 14, 2008 If the FACE of the brick is flaking, the bricks are failing. Water is getting into it, causing the face to flake off. Could be the wrong brick were used, could be they're just old. About the only "fix" I know of is to use some sort of clear waterproofing on it, but this is only temporary & will have to be reapplied.
