riggerrob 558 #2 October 16, 2005 Slotted stabilizers vent air to soften openings and improve stability in deep brakes. If you sew the slots shut, the canopy will open harder and oscillate side-to-side when in deep brakes. The up side of sewing stabilizers closed will be improved flare for landing.
