Anyone have service issues with the new iPhone 3GS?

I just got the new iPhone, which is my first iPhone. Neither my old Motorola smart phone or the $9 Go Phone from WalMart have any trouble with service in the building at work, but I've had constant trouble with the iPhone so far. The iPhone frequently loses it's signal completely in areas that the other phones always had a minimum of 3 bars and usually full service.

Just curious if others have seen anything similar. Plan on calling customer service in the morning.
