A change to shropshires song

Recommended Posts

Shropshire posted the beginings of this song in its original form awhile back.
I changed the words to fit our particular caste

"Ive been a wild rover"

I've been an up jumper for many a year.
And I spent all me money on training and gear.
now Im returning with a licence and ratings galore
so Ill never will play an upjumper no more.

and its no nay never,
no nay never no more,
well I'll play the the upjumper
no never no more.

I went into a dropzone i used to frequent
I told the D>O> all me money was spent.
I asked him for credit
he answered me yeah.
If I jump with no chute I can have my own way!

and its no nay never
no nay never no more
well I'll play the the upjumper
no never no more.

Well out of me wallet I took a "D" licence right
and the D.O.'s eyes opened wide with delight
He said I have tandems and students untold
so the words that I spoke the were ever so bold!

and its no nay never
no nay never no more
well Ill play the the upjumper
no never no more

I went home to me girlfriend confessed where Id been
I asked her to pardon me skydiving sins
She asked me to take take her to high altitude,
and to me suprize she jumped in the nude!

and its no nay never
no nay never no more
well Ill play the the upjumper
no never no more.

With thousands of jumps my log books are full,
at a 1000 feet Ive been known to pull!
With no one to tell me Ill do things my way
well except for maybe the U.S.P.A

and its no nay never
no nay never no more
well I'll play the the upjumper
no never no more.
