skygypsie 2 #1 December 8, 2009 A good friend & a Staff collegue from Skydive Midwest was critically injured in a Swoop Competition jump at the '09 World Cup on 11/30/09. Giedrius "G" Kasiulynas is in critical condition with severe head, neck/ back injuries & in a state of sedated coma in Johannesburg, S. Africa. Many prayers are being sent his way & G is still fighting. His family is in Lithuania. We are trying to raise the money to fly them to be with G. A PayPal account has been established in his sister; Inga's, name. The info is legite, & secure. Donations can be submitted: [email protected] LT197044060003600396 Inga Gaizauskiene AB SEB bankas Gedimino pr. 12, LT-01103 Vilnius Banko Kodas 70440 SWIFT Kodas CBVILZX We know the economy is bad, Christmas is upon us & generally, we Skydivers are poor, but, if you could just send them a few dollars it would help so much. Skydiver's have a closer comradery then any group of people, like no other I've ever experienced. If you could reach into your hearts with prayer, for G & into your pockets to get this Family to their Son & Brother, you can only imagine the gratitude they would have. ~ Blessings & BlueSkies ~ Julie Tomlin - [email protected] 920-933-2848
skygypsie 2 #2 December 9, 2009 Update on G's condition 12/09/09: He had a surgical procedure to attach the Halo traction device to keep his head/ neck immobile. He will slowly be brought out of the sedative induced coma [ due to pain]. He has shown distressful responses to the breathing tube/ ventilator & Halo [all evident positive signs]. The ventilator will be removed soon due to indication he will breathe on his own. He will be fitted for a Halo jacket for ease of pain & discomfort. Tests will be performed of bleeding & swelling of the brain to determine what & if longterm damage/ affects. Please keep him in your prayers. He's got a long way to go & unfortunately is not out of the woods, yet. G's been putting up the fight for his life for 10 days, now ! His Family needs help to obtain the funds to travel to him. They need US !

Most recent update; the Halo was successfully attached to head & his shoulders. skygypsie 2 #7 May 2, 2010 After months of hard work on his road to an anticipated full recovery, Geidrius " G"...is doing very well. He returned to the States in March, & was at Northwestern in Chicago for a few weeks. He is now home, still going through rehab therapy, but anticipates a full recovery. I've been in contact with him via email, he offers his sincerest gratitude to all for their thoughts, prayers, & donations for his family to be able to be with him for some time, while he was hospitalized in S. Africa. He hopes to be jumping again in the near future ! So thank you, again ! ~ Blessings n' BlueSkies ~
