Hello friends, We were recently informed that there are a series of Industrial Wind Turbines slated to be installed only 1700 meters from our landing area and we're seeking your support in having these mammoth machines and their parent company seek alternative locations. Standing over 450 feet high, and on the exact wind line that prevails from April through October, these machines will, without doubt, be on the mind of every jumper here at Skydive Burnaby. I'm sure the owners of Skydive Burnaby can give you a much better answer if you ask them, but from my understanding, the township has put the construction of the turbines in moratorium, meaning 'postponed until further review'.
